Call for Abstracts
We are calling for abstracts for oral and poster presentation at NZ Resus 2022 - Te hiranga, te manahau me te ahurea. Excellence, resilience, and culture.
Your abstract should be no longer than 400 words and should outline the aims and content of the presentation. Please ensure your abstract contains a comprehensive description of the results. Abstracts are to be submitted by Sunday 3 July 2022.
You will be asked to indicate whether you would prefer to make an oral presentation only, poster presentation only, or whether you are happy to present your research in either oral or poster presentation.
Please follow the following steps to submit your abstract:

- Complete and save as your surname in .doc or .docx format (i.e. Smith.docx)
- Submit your Abstract
You will be asked to indicate the topic which your abstract is most relevant to. The topics include the following:
- Resuscitation, first aid or emergency care education
- Data or registry information
- Practice – implementation of guidelines, protocols or procedures
- Other aspects of resuscitation, first aid or emergency care
Closing date for abstracts: Sunday 3 July 2022
Authors notified of acceptance: Friday 29 July 2022
Registration Closes: Wednesday 31 August 2022
Oral presentations will be allocated 15 minutes, 10 minutes presentation with 5 minutes for discussion.
Posters will be displayed for the duration of the conference. Each poster will be allocated a 1 meter wide x 2 meters high board and the poster must fit within this area. The boards are covered in a front-runner material that is suitable for Velcro.
Abstracts for both oral and poster presentations will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Notification of acceptance will be via email.
The conference will be held at the Wharewaka Function Centre on Wellington's Waterfront. The venue will have a data projector, laptop, screen and sound system.
The Conference Management Team will email you 2-3 weeks before the conference to request your presentation. However, please feel free to email this at any time should you have it. Presenters are asked to bring their presentation to conference on a USB stick. A technician will be onsite to load your presentation.
All presenters (other than those specifically sponsored or advised by the Conference Committee as being exempt from registration fees) are required to register for the conference. Presenters also need to meet their own travel and accommodation costs.
