New Zealand Resuscitation Council Treasurer, Dr Lindsay Mildenhall was recognised in the New Year Honours 2022 and also appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his services to neonatal intensive care and resuscitation training.

Lindsay is passionate about improving outcomes for newborns and he has made a significant contribution through his work in this field. Approximately 10% of newborn babies need resuscitation and support to establish breathing with the intention of improving outcomes and decreasing mortality.

His commitment to the preparation, writing, and dissemination of ILCOR and ANZCOR newborn resuscitation guidelines has been a great benefit to Aotearoa, Australasia and the world.

Congratulations on your impressive achievement Lindsay, thank you for improving outcomes for newborns in Aotearoa and throughout the world.
