NZ Resus 2024 Delegate Terms and Conditions

By registering for NZ Resus 2024 run by the New Zealand Resuscitation Council (‘us’/'we'/'our'), the customer (‘you’/'your') is deemed to accept these Terms and Conditions. If you are registering on behalf of another individual, it is your responsibility to ensure the person participating is aware of these terms and accepts them. By completing the registration on behalf of another individual you are warranting that you have made the participant aware of these terms and that they have accepted these terms.

We may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

The New Zealand Resuscitation Council Inc. is a New Zealand-owned business for trading and registration purposes.

 

Price

Prices are in New Zealand dollars unless otherwise specified and exclude GST. Once invoiced, this is your final price, which includes GST and any other taxes or duties.

 

Payment

Once registration has been made an invoice will be sent with a confirmation email. The invoice must be paid within the payment terms stated on the invoice.

Payment can be made by direct payment to our bank account or via the credit card link on your invoice.

We reserve the right to cancel any conference registration for which payment has not been received by the due date.

 

 

Credit card payment

We will neither collect nor store your credit card details. The payment link on your invoice will direct you to use the credit card payment facilities provided by Windcave. Windcave makes the following statement on security:

Windcave is committed to data security. Windcave uses a variety of technologies and procedures to help protect personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. For example, Windcave stores the data in computer servers with limited access that are located in controlled facilities secured by the latest in surveillance and security technology. When Windcave transmits sensitive information (such as a credit card numbersWindcave protects it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. Credit card details stored onsite are encrypted using 168bit 3DES encryption. Windcave is a level 1 certified PCI-DSS compliant provider.

Overdue invoices and queries

We may take whatever action necessary to recover debt on an overdue invoice. The debtor will be liable for any costs incurred in pursuing the debt.

If you have a query about your invoice or are advising us of a remit, send this to accounts@resus.org.nz. If you have a dispute in relation to any amount in an invoice please contact us immediately to discuss. We are not obliged to investigate a disputed amount if you do not notify us about it within 30 days.

 

Cancellation and refunds

The cancellation and refund policy will be applied at our discretion.

Cancellations must be notified in writing to info@resus.org.nz

Cancellations received on or before 14 March 2024 will be charged an administration fee of $100.

No refund will be given for registration cancellations received after 14 March 2024 (including “no shows” at the conference).

 

Substitution of the registrant

Registrants may nominate an alternate person from their organisation to attend up to twenty-one (21) days before the event, at a fee of $50 plus the difference in a registration fee (if any) will be charged. Should substitution not be possible, cancellation charges will apply. All substitutions must be received in writing to info@resus.org.nz

 

Cancellation or postponement by NZ Resuscitation Council

  1. The NZ Resuscitation Council reserves the right to make alterations to an event programme, venues, and timings.
  2.  In the unlikely situation where an event is being cancelled by the NZ Resuscitation Council, a full refund will be made. Liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the delegate.
  3. In the situation of it being found necessary, for whatever reason, that the event is postponed, or the dates are changed, the NZ Resuscitation Council shall not be liable for any expenditure (e.g. travel and accommodation), damage or loss incurred by the registrant.
  4. If after any re-arrangement or postponement the event can take place, the registration between the registrant and the NZ Resuscitation Council shall remain in force and will be subject to the NZ Resuscitation Council cancellation schedule.

 

Conference Updates

Information for attendees will be sent electronically via email or text to the address or number that is provided at the time of registration.

 

Intellectual Property

No part of the event may be recorded, reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronically or mechanically, including but not limited to video or audio recording, photographing, photocopying or any other information storage or retrieval system known now or in the future, without the explicit written permission of the NZ Resuscitation Council.

 

Insurance

The registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Participants are advised to tkae out appropriate insurance.

The NZ Resuscitation Council does not cover individuals against the cancellations of bookings for any reason including cancellation or postponement of the event or for theft or damage to belongings.

 

Photography & Video

By registering for this event, you consent to having your photo and/or video taken and used for promotional purposes, this may include Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Website, Conference Website & Email Marketing.

 

Conduct

The NZ Resuscitation Council is committed to enabling events at which everyone can participate in an inclusive, respectful, and safe environment. We value each member and want all guests to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, we expect all participants to show respect and courtesy to other people. All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience, including people of different backgrounds. Conference participants are solely responsible for their actions.

All content submitted to the NZ Resuscitation Council or shared on the Conference App shall adhere to basic rules of conduct. An appropriate tone and relevance of the content are required. It is in particular prohibited to submit content which:

  • is openly offensive and fosters or incites racism, bigotry, hatred or physical violence of any kind against groups or individuals or force of any kind against property;
  • is offensive, threatening, obscene, disrespectful, indecent, defamatory or libelous or causes harassment in another way or supports such undesirable forms of behaviour;
  • encourages sexual or violent exploitation of persons;
  • comprises nudity, violence or indecent images;
  • publishes information which poses a risk to the protection of personal data or security;
  • contains or endorses information which, to the best of the participant’s knowledge, is false or misleading;
  • infringes intangible property rights (to trademarks, designs, patents or copyright), especially which constitutes or promotes illegal or unauthorized copies of copyright works of other persons, e.g. pirated copies of computer programs or links to them, information on defeating copy protection set up by manufacturers and pirated copies of music or links to pirated copies of music files;
  • entails sending junk mails, chain letters or unsolicited mass mailings, SMS, spinning or spamming;
  • has restricted, password-only access or contains hidden pages or images;
  • promotes or supports unlawful acts or plans or contains instructions on illegal acts, e.g. making or buying illegal weapons, breach of privacy or the supply or development of computer viruses;
  • requires other users to disclose passwords or personal particulars for commercial or illegal purposes, or is designed to do so;
  • contains commercial activities;
  • contains photographs or videos of other people, which have been published without the consent of those people;
  • infringes, or attempts to infringe, in particular privacy laws, contract law or the rights of third parties;
  • contains website links which are prohibited.

 

Breaches of Conduct may result in disqualification from participating in the

Conference, but also future live and virtual events.
